Our hostel is situated right next to the railway station of Berchtesgaden. From this central point you can reach any of our sites and attractions by train or bus in all directions within a short time. Detailed information about current events and actions will be received from the tourist information center directly opposite from our hostel www.berchtesgadener-land.com.

The center of Berchtesgaden www.berchtesgaden.de is within 5 minutes walking distance, where you can enjoy the beautiful pedestrian area, the Royal Castle and the Collegiate Church with its two distinctive towers.

The  Lake Königsee www.koenigssee.com is only about 15 minutes away by bus.

Another famous attraction are the Salt mines www.salzbergwerk.de which are absolutely worth visiting!

The lovers of spas and wellbeing won’t miss the opportunity to visit our “Watzmann Therme” www.watzmann-therme.de , which is just a 10 minutes walk away from the hostel.

If you are interested in the historical backgrounds of our region don‘t miss to visit the Obersalzberg with the famous Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest) and the detailed documentation www.obersalzburg.de regarding the so called „Third Reich“ in Germany.

Moreover, the „Haus der Berge“ (House of the mountains) www.haus-der-berge.bayern.de  which also can be reached on foot within a few minutes  is absolutely worth a visit. It gives you various first impressions about the National Park Berchtesgaden which is the only existing Alpine National park in Germany! The bus line 840 goes regularly to Salzburg and return.
